Trip to Beijing Dec 07

This was my 1st trip bringing my 2 girls with me and fly to Beijing to meet hubby there (he was there earlier for his biz trip). We took the morning SQ flight. Had breakfast, the girls had fun playing the inflight games and watching cartoons.. had our lunch and before we knew it, we were reaching BJ! :)

Basically doing 6 days Free and Easy and meeting our friends & family staying in Beijing.

Not very ambitious on the trip.. just wanted to go Tian An Men, Gu Gong, Great Wall (last minute decision to go) as we were worried it will be too cold for the children. Lastly the Summer Palace.. other than that will be SHOPPING!! :D

Reach our apartment and it was dark after 5pm!

This is the apartment we stayed. 2 bedrooms. Not as nice as we expected. This is the room where the 2 girls sleep together.


Our first meal at the nearby shopping mall (新光天地). Found a food court. Surprisely their food court is not crowded and is much better than the food court in Spore.


found the long queue wondering how good it is.. pick and choose those ingredients u want and they fry for you.. seems interesting! Taste? so so only :p

Don't think it was hot because of the sun!! It was cold!!
Generally it was below 5 degrees during daytime and below zero in the evening!!

Had the best Beijing duck @ Ming Dong (名董）。Waited for an hour before getting into the restuarant! Find this much better than the other one.. look further down..




Girls love the indoor playground in the shopping mall.


Bought these Barbie Downjackets (80% down) at a shopping mall having 50% discount!
About SGD$80 each after discount! The girls love it :)

btw, I don't really like typical BJ food.. all funny food like duck tongue etc.. Yucks!
