Last day in Japan

Our last day in Japan.. after breakfast, we had abt 2hours for shopping before heading to the airport.

Shopping time!! Good thing our hotel is in the city area and we just walked across to the nearby shopping malls :) Weather was fantastic and we wished if we can extend our trip to go Disney again!

This is hotel (Hotel Metropolitan Crown Plaza) we stayed in Tokyo.. pretty good location.

The only thing i bought for myself and it's the popular Burberry Blue label that we should not miss when we go Japan! :)

Japan Day Five - Disneyland

Finally what we are waiting for... Disneyland!
Unfortunately it was a rainy & gloomy day :(

At the entrance.... rain & rain!! :(

Took picture with one of the 3 little pigs

Saw Pooh bear but no chance to take picture with him...

Since raining, so just took more photos with the disney characters...

One of rides we took..

In the tram...

So much to explore but bad weather...

Sigh!! The rain never stop....

Watch out!! We will be back again!! :)

Japan Day Four - Boiling valley/Mt Fuji

Woke up early in the morning to catch the bullet train ride.

However we are taking "normal" bullet train. The real "Shinkansen" is much faster and it's non-stop all the way.

See a short video clip on how fast the Shinkansen bypass the station :)

Our next destination... the Boiling Valley...

A must to try these eggs (in black!).. add some salt to taste. It's said u can live another 7 years if u eat one egg. There are 6 eggs in a pack. WOW!! i.e. 42 years!

Our lunch at this cosy restaurant...

This is our lunch.. quite pitiful yah ;)

On the way to famous Mount Fuji. The tour guide brought us to this beautiful park (with Sakura) and a great place for photo shoot of the Mt Fuji.

Wow! how's my photo shoot?

How can we miss the family shot with such a nice back scene!

Isn't the Sakura beautiful?

Do you prefer the White or Pink Sakura?

On the way up to Mt Fuji.

see the snow along the way....

We are so blessed to reach the 5th station of Mt Fuji. There are a few shops that we can buy some souvenirs and tit bits.

The 2 girls are having fun with the snow! The weather was so cold yet the girls can 'tolerate' the cold much better than me. Haha!!

Great day and great weather!! :)

I guess it's one of the better dinner we had for the trip.

We had Nabe (Japanese steamboat).

We slept in tatami for the night. The kids love it.

Our room happened to be one of the best view that can see Mt Fuji from the window.

Japan Day Three - Kyoto

Pretty relaxed itinery today.

First stop at Kiyomiszu temple. Another temple which we did not follow the group to walk up the hill. Instead we just went shopping at the shops and bought some titbits and mochi.

Saw this cute Hello Kitty shop. They sold sauage Crepes inside shop which was good when the weather was cold and munch something hot and we did not have time for breakfast that morning.

This is the well known Golden Pavillion which was gold plated! Unfortunately, the building is banned and not many people can enter. I think Queen Elizabeth went in recently.

Kimono show. A 20mins performance where Japanese modelled their traditional Kimono.

As "promoted" by our tour guide, we went to the supermarket just next to our hotel. The girls saw the Hello Kitty kid's trolley and quickly went seated in. Rachel was too tall for it tho :)

After few days of sushi crave, our tour guide told us to checkout the sushi @ the supermarket which usually offer discount after 8pm. Being tempted, we bought a packet of sushi for our supper :) After 50% discount, it costs 400¥ which is abt S$5.50

Japan Day Two - Universal studio (USJ)

After a night rest, we are recharged ;) and we have one whole day @ Universal Studio. Unfortunately the weather was not so good. Drizzles on and off.

Our family shot @ the entrance of USJ.

Took photos with all the favorite cartoon characters!

Dunno this cartoon character but since it's so cute, the gals just wanna catch them :)

Rachel loves the SHREK show so won't miss this..

Betty Boop

The favorite Hello Kitty.. so difficult to catch a photo with it.

hehe! finally squeeze in to take photo with Elmo!

The sesame street theme..

The gals are just having fun seeing so many nice cartoons coming to LIVE!

With Popeye & Olive.

Had lunch at a chinese restuarant. Very expensive! See the 2 cheeky gals after having their lunch and ready for more shots!

Bad weather. Luckily i bot raincoats for this trip. You will be surprised all the people are not "bothered" by the rain at all. Everyone is on raincoat. Unlike in Spore, if it rains, i think everyone just hide under shelter. See the girls are having fun in rain :)

Here comes the parade... lucky thing is the rain starts again AFTER the show finished.

Not to miss the Jurassic Park ride but not for us with the kids along...

Generally we enjoyed the day! It's quite similar to Movie World. Except we didn't have much chance to do any rides. We went to queue the E.T. Adventure but the queue was so long and we decide to give up. Some of our tour members who went queued for 4hrs!!

Hope to be back again!! :)
